Developmental Editing - .004 p/w (£4 per 1,000 words)

This is the first step on the editing journey, after beta reading but before line or copy editing or proofreading. I will offer feedback on the following:

- character development

- plot consistency

- story flow

- repetition

Copy Editing (coming soon)

This level of editing comes after line editing and before the final proofread and concentrates on grammar and other line by line details. I will offer feedback on:

- tense consistency

- POV consistency

- punctuation, spelling and syntax

- flow (tightening phrasing and reducing redundant sentences)

- detail consistency in character and setting

Proofreading - .003 p/w (£3 per 1,000 words)

This is the last stage of editing before the big day! Proofreading is about catching any of the errors that have been missed in previous sweeps (we're all human, after all) I will offer feedback on the following:

- punctuation

- spelling

- capitalisation

- 'double words'

- formatting (indentation, paragraph spacing, etc)
